The onset of effects of most Delta 9 edibles can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours or more, as the THC is metabolized through the digestive system and Liver before entering the bloodstream. In typical edibles, effects can last anywhere from 4-12 hours.

For nano-emulsified or nano-encapsulated THC edibles, such as fast acting gummies, syrups and drinkables, onset of effects can occur as fast as 5 minutes after consumption, as the THC is able to enter the bloodstream immediately in this form. The THC is absorbed and used by our bodies quicker than with typical edibles, so the duration of effects is shorter than with typical edibles, usually between 2-4 hours.

The onset and duration of effects of Delta 9 edibles vary greatly, depending on factors including dosage, metabolism, body chemistry, other medications, ingredients in the edible, etc. Remember, you can always take more later. Do not over consume.

Yes, Delta 9 edibles can be suitable for beginners, however it is important to practice caution, not to over consume. We recommend starting with a 5mg dose, or if you are extra weary, you can start with a 2mg dose to introduce THC into your body without feeling high. Be certain you know the potency (how many milligrams of THC per serving) before consuming a THC edible, and remember to wait at least 2 hours before consuming any more.

Usually, a “microdose” THC edible refers to an edible that contains less than 5mg of THC. A common “microdose” is 2mg of THC, which most people report does not give them any sort of inebriating effect (no high). A microdose is a great option for those who are extremely sensitive to THC or those who want to experience the benefits of THC without feeling high or distracted.

Delta 9 edibles contain Delta 9 THC and therefore yes, they can result in a positive drug test for THC.
